TAS-21 GC Gun Ionizer Series

1. High DC voltage is generated and led to the discharge needle
2. Needle points are made sharp to easily create corona discharge. A corona discharge is a phenomenon where air molecules are ionized under extremely high voltage into positive and negative ions and release an electric flow through the air.
3. The ions, either positive or negative, are emitted outward into the air and are distributed naturally by coulomb repulsion. This method requires no air flow, however, the option for an air blower to supplement ionizing distance is available.
4. Ions are generated to fill up the space surrounding the object.
5. The electrically charged surface then attracts oppositely charged ions and repels like charges.
6. This repulsion and attraction occurs until the static level becomes zero.

TAS-21 GC is a small and compact yet powerful anti-static/dust ionizer. This Gun type ionizer is designed in a unique way to prevent high voltage leakage which can lead to decreases in ion level as well as electrical shocks. TAS-21 GC prevents water caused by adiabatic expansion from building up on the discharge needle by separating ions and air flow into 2 pathways; thus increasing the ionizer’s life.
