The Ezi-STEP-PR series is an innovative open loop stepping motor and motion control system suitable for low cost applications. This series is made to interface to an external encoder. It has a software damping feature that drastically suppresses vibrations, allowing for smooth operation of the motor at low and high speeds.
The high performance Digital Signal Processor operates at step resolutions of 1.8°, up to a maximum of 0.0072° (1/250 steps), and adjusts PWM control signals at every 25 micro-seconds, resulting in high-precision microstep operations.
A maximum of 16 axes can be operated from a PC through RS-485 communications. Up to 256 motion conditions can be set through the network and saved in a Flash ROM as a parameter.
